Confidential search for CEO
This is a next-generation disruptive patent research technology company. The Company’s proprietary technology and forensic search engine has been in development for nearly two years and is being prepared for live beta in Q3 of 2011.
Candidates must have deep domain experience in the patent area, knowledge of patent laws, intellectual property and general business. In addition to knowing the IP space, CEO candidate should have knowledge and experience with technology development and deployment. Ideally, candidate will have experience with early stage companies and be comfortable and resourceful in operating in such an environment.
Executive candidate must have had P&L responsibility and success in executing proven revenue growth. Company is looking at various locations for corporate headquarters and the CEO may have influence over such decision.
Locations currently under consideration are such diverse areas as Washington D.C., Detroit (because of incentives and new U.S. Patent Office), Chicago, New York, Boston and West Coast.
Compensation: Board is willing to develop the right compensation package to fit the needs of the best candidate. Clearly the most significant component of the comp package will be equity, but package will also include base salary and performance bonus.
Company is seeking a dynamic leader to become the face and persona of the organization. The Company's business model is evolutionary, disruptive and faces the challenge of being sold into a market segment that is slow to adopt and change. The product being introduced has the potential of becoming an industry standard. The right candidate must see that potential and be willing and capable of developing and implementing a plan that will make that vision happen.
