WSJ misses the Trends in Recruitment

Joe Light should interview Best Practicioners for his Articles to make sure he doesn't write another Dated piece on Employment Practices. Here are the comments that I exchanged with the WSJ article writer.

Dear WSJ,

You missed the mark on this, its Dated--- Great Recruiters have always gone out to look for candidates, and are skilled at uncovering those not actively searching. The Professional Organizations that count for our world are the AOEP and the ERE reference those articles. The truth is that the Staffing Industry has always been innovative.

Only the traditional paper pushers and untrained recruitment professionals wait around until candidates come to them. Job Boards will always be a source of candidates after all Lets get people back to work and its one way to connect. However, professional recruiters that are smart innovative, curious and just plain Great always hunt for talent whether it is through online resources, networking groups, meetups or in a line at the DrugStore. Get with it!
